Holiday Business & Residential Decorating Contest
The Aston Township Parks and Recreation Committee along with the Aston Township Board of Commissioners, are happy to announce the Annual Aston Township Holiday Decorating Contest. Each year throughout the month of December, residents and businesses in the township reign in the holiday season by lighting up the town! The contest is open to all residents and businesses. To participate, simply join in the fun this holiday season and decorate your property before the judging dates listed below.
Residential Eligibility and Prizes
Two residences in each of the 7 voting wards within Aston Township will be considered for a prize of 1st Place or Honorable Mention. Prizes will be awarded by a small team of non-partisan judges to be appointed in each ward by the ward commissioner. ALL residences who have completed their decorations before the initial judging date below will be judged on "overall aesthetics and curb appeal" as defined by the judging team.
2020 Residential Judging Dates: December 11th, 12th, 13th & 14th!
One residence in each ward will be awarded First Prize. Additionally, one residence in each ward will be awarded an Honorable Mention. Winners will be recognized at the January Aston Township Board of Commissioner's Meeting.
- 1st Prize (each ward) – $100 Giant Food Store
- Honorable Mention (each ward) – $50 Wawa

Businesses will be judged in three categories, Industrial, Large and Small. Each business will be assigned to a category as deemed appropriate by the judging committee. Prizes will be awarded by the Parks and Recreation Committee. ALL businesses who have completed their decorations before the initial judging date below will be judged on "overall aesthetics and curb appeal" as defined by the judging committee.
2020 Business Judging Dates: December 10th, 11th & 14th!
One business in each of the three categories will be awarded First Prize. Additionally, one business in each of the three categories will be awarded an Honorable Mention. All winners will be recognized at the December Aston Township Board of Commissioner's Meeting.
- 1st Prize – Advertising of winner's business (January: Township Times, Website, Aston TV), 1 year FREE ABA Membership.
- Honorable Mention – 1 year FREE ABA Membership.
