Pop Up Trailer Decorating Ideas

We love when readers share their DIY projects with us, and we couldn't resist sharing this one, sent to us by Laurie Jones, who blogs at Laurie Jones Home.

Laurie told us she looked to stories like 14 Gorgeous Camper Decorating Ideas when it came to finding inspiration for her own vintage camper, purchased almost two years ago. "We threw around the idea of buying a lake house but realized, with our kids going to college soon, the extra expense just wasn't going to make our idea possible," she writes on her blog. "When we spotted our camper for around $1,000, we knew it was time to take the plunge!"

Check out the awesome results:

Instead of buying a pricey fridge designed specifically for campers, Laurie replaced the old fridge with a mini version designed for dorm rooms. "Also notice the microwave," notes Laurie. "Baking no … microwaving yes."

Laurie tore out the uncomfortable and narrow couch in the back of the camper, and replaced it with a twin bed. "We got a high end mattress that was half off," writes Laurie. "It was still more than a cheap mattress, but it's the area we sit on the most."

You can see the full renovation, including more before and after photos, on Laurie's blog, Laurie Jones Home.
